Synthesia is a leading European manufacturer of specialty chemicals with a century-long tradition. The company employs approximately 750 people at its SemtinZone production site, which covers an area of 4.4 km². Synthesia focuses on two key business segments: advanced organic intermediates and organic pigments and dyes.
Since 2024, Synthesia has been part of the Kaprain Group.
The company’s organizational structure reflects its broad product portfolio and is divided into two strategic business units (SBUs): SBU Pigments and Dyes and SBU Organic Chemistry.
Synthesia’s key customers include manufacturers of coatings and printing inks, as well as companies operating in the textile, paper, and leather industries. The company also serves businesses in the rubber, pharmaceutical, plastics, explosives, cosmetics, and agrochemical sectors.
Approximately three quarters of the company’s production is exported, primarily to developed European markets and overseas destinations.
