Synthesia, a.s. – Strategic Business Unit Organic Chemistry is the largest Czech producer of organic compounds and holds a strong position in the field of advanced organic intermediates. A significant share of its production is exported to demanding European and overseas markets. Currently, SBU Organic Chemistry supplies its products to customers in more than 40 countries worldwide. Its key customers include companies operating in the plastics industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, dyes and pigments, defense industry, cosmetics, and other sectors.

Research and development activities are supported by a specialized team from Synthesia’s subsidiary, the Research Institute for Organic Syntheses (VUOS). We are certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Part of our production is subject to GMP requirements and is regularly audited by the FDA.
Pharmacy
Our pharmaceutical production builds on nearly 60 years of tradition. Active pharmaceutical ingredients are used in the manufacture of finished dosage forms for a wide range of applications. Our modern production facilities meet the highest quality standards, and our products are trusted by customers in more than 30 countries worldwide.
Intermediates
The Intermediates segment focuses on the production of raw materials for advanced products, particularly in the fields of dyes, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and agrochemicals. We continuously invest in the modernization of our research and technological capabilities to provide innovative products and high-quality services.
Pesticides
SBU Organic Chemistry produces pesticides in the form of both technical-grade active substances and finished formulations. Our high-quality products and experienced team build on long-term know-how and more than 40 years of tradition. We continuously expand our business activities and cooperate with leading European manufacturers and distributors of crop protection products.
Custom Syntheses
With extensive experience in specialty chemical manufacturing, Synthesia is able to meet even highly specific and non-standard customer requirements. We offer a broad portfolio of technologies and their combinations, including nitration, hydrogenation, and phosgenation. We currently supply 24 products to customers across Europe and the United States.
