Environmental protection
The management and all employees of Synthesia, a.s. and Synthesia Nitrocellulose, a.s. have always been aware of the impact of the companies´ production activities on the environment. Therefore, they systematically implement measures to reduce the negative impact of the plant´s activities on the environment to the lowest possible level.
In this area, we consider the following to be crucial:
- Compliance with legal and other requirements applicable to the environment, health and safety at work in the development, manufacture, storage, transport and sale of its products.
- Improvement of the company’s environmental profile by managing the environmental impact of its activities, products and services with the help of an established EMS system while maintaining and developing its business activities.
- Preventing pollution of all components of the environment, setting quantifiable targets, measuring their fulfilment, and continuously improving the level of environmental protection within the organisation.
- Open and responsive communication with employees and the public; providing stakeholders with accurate information about the environmental impact of its activities
Responsible care
Synthesia company belongs to the founder member of a programme called “RESPONSIBLE CARE”.
It is a part of an evaluating group called “Svaz chemického průmyslu České republiky” ( Association of chemical industry in the Czech Republic )

We acceded to the tenth defence of the programme called RESPONSIBLE CARE in 2022 and after its success and verification of self-evaluation we gained the right to use this logo until 2027.
